Description

Amazon is hiring a Senior Risk Manager for the product team within the Vendor Investigations & Transaction Accuracy (VITA) organization to accelerate some of our top initiatives in our anti-fraud product suite. You will support the development of fraud detection and prevention prototypes across Non-Inventory, Transportation, Retail, and/or Digital business lines. The team is responsible for developing innovative fraud detection and prevention solutions through rapid prototyping and engaging in backlog grooming to ensure successful delivery of new features and enhancements to our product/s. In this role, you must be able to recognize key dependencies across different teams to coordinate successful prototype development and testing.

Amazon businesses are growing and expanding at a rapid pace, resulting in a dynamic work environment with many opportunities. This position is at the forefront of our program driving global improvements in fraud detection and prevention through prototype development. You will work closely with customers to better understand their needs and develop prototypes to address those needs. You will set the strategic vision and direction for fraud prototype development. You will manage prototype projects and collaborate with system and business owners, data scientists, engineers, and investigators globally to drive end-to-end improvements and visibility within our fraud detection and prevention suite.

An ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding work environment is critical to this role. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, a quick learner, and will have the ability to efficiently manage various high-priority, cross-functional prototype projects with leadership visibility that will allow Amazon to scale. This candidate will also be able to perform analysis and interpret data to demonstrate the benefits being delivered with the proposed fraud detection and prevention prototypes.

Key job responsibilities

What You Will Do

You will be responsible for driving the development of innovative fraud detection and prevention prototypes across multiple business lines. You will get the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of customer needs, while keeping a pulse on the broader company strategy and objectives.

Areas of Responsibility: The ideal candidate is an energetic, self-starter and will willfully and diligently perform the following responsibilities on a consistent basis with little or no direction from management:

Collaborate with key business partners and subject matter experts to translate business opportunities into strategic prototype requirements and an execution plan. Develop a deep understanding of customer needs in the fraud prevention and operational disciplines. Define minimum viable prototypes and prioritize requirements balancing trade-offs between time, effort, investment, and value dimensions. Lead cross-functional teams to ensure that we are executing against our prototype roadmap. Identify and monitor success metrics to effectively manage the prototype lines with a focus on client and business value creation. Work closely with engineering, operations, and marketing in support of the prototypes. Develop subject matter expertise regarding current fraud and risk solutions. Actively seek opportunities to increase agility by identifying future needs to evolve systems, processes, services and solutions to support strategic growth and development through prototyping.
